Palestinian resistance groups fired a barrage of rockets at Israel. The strike came after Israeli warplanes hit several positions in the north and center of the Gaza Strip early on Wednesday. A Hamas checkpoint was among the targets. No casualties were reported on both sides.

Hamas has warned Israel of a military escalation following its airstrikes. The movement also said Israel will pay the price for any aggression on Gaza, and that the response will be direct.

Meanwhile, other Palestinian groups vow to continue their struggle against the Israeli occupation.

The normalization deals signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain in a ceremony on Tuesday at the White House continue to spark harsh criticisms among the Palestinians. In the latest round of protests, Palestinian scholars in Gaza held a press conference to condemn what they called the treacherous move by the two Arab states.

Palestinians stress that peace won’t be achieved in the region and the resistance will continue till Israel stops its violations of Palestinian rights and end the occupation.

A stab in the back is what Palestinians have described the normalization of ties between Israel and the Arab states. Palestinians groups vow to continue their resistance against occupation by all possible means.
