This episode is a brief section of Dr. Dalia Fahmy’s speech at the Muslim American Society and the Islamic Circle of North America held on the 18th Annual Convention in Chicago in December 2019.

Islam's purpose of revelation is clear: liberation of human beings from the false worship of anything other than the Creator, and the establishment of justice and inherent dignity for all human beings.

Despite our "legal freedoms," social injustice and inequality are rampant, especially toward Black Americans.

What should American Muslims do as part of their religious and principled commitment towards social justice?
