Joe Biden ‘is the worst of US Democratic Party: Ex-Senate candidate
The Democratic Party establishment and mainstream media in the US are aligned against anti-Israeli presidential candidates like Senator Bernie Sander and support pro-Zionist politicians like Joe Biden, says a journalist and former US Senate candidate.
Sanders, a democratic socialist whose policy proposals pushed the Democratic Party sharply to the left, ended his presidential campaign on Wednesday, clearing the way for an election battle between Biden and Republican President Donald Trump in November.
The media “is aligned against these candidates … the [Democratic] Party establishment is aligned against people like Sanders,” Mark Dankof said Thursday during a phone interview with Press TV.
“Biden I find to be a particularly lamentable candidate. I don't take any pleasure id saying that he obviously has declined mentally; that's become apparent to a lot of people,” Dankof said.
“Biden is also in my judgment that the worst of the Democratic Party in regard to the fact that he was clearly involved with Obama and Clinton id the illegal overthrow of the Ukrainian regime in February of 2014,” he added.
Democrats in the House of Representatives launched an impeachment probe against Trump in September after an anonymous intelligence community whistleblower accused the US president of pressing Ukraine's president to investigate Biden and his son, Hunter, who served as a director of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian natural gas company.
Democrats assert that the Republican president pushed for the inquiry into Biden because he was worried about facing the former US vice president in November’s presidential election.
In February, the Republican-controlled US Senate acquitted Trump in his impeachment trial, which was approved by the Democratic-led House of Representatives in December.
“Biden is also, sadly enough, a financial beneficiary of all of that. He's basically a crook and he's up to his eyeballs in this Burisma Holdings scandal, as his son is,” Dankof said.
“Biden has made no secret about his pro-Israel pro-Zionist views across the board,” he added.
