Iran's further steps in its combat against coronavirus has been more fierce especially after the return of holidaymakers.
Iran, the country which faced lack of equipment during the early days of the coronavirus breakout, is now on the right track. Five medical research companies in Iran are each producing at least 80,000 diagnostic kits a week, while around 10,000 tests a day are being carried out across 90 laboratories in the country.
And Iran aims to double its testing in near future. The virus first surfaced in Irans Islamic center, Qom, and so it was a matter of contention whether to quarantine the city.
Also the country was and is under US-led economic sanctions, and now medical sanctions. So as the virus spread through 30 of Irans 31 provinces, the country found itself at a loss, even for diagnosis of afflicted cases.
But just two months since the breakout, the country is not just mass producing disinfectants, masks and PPE garments for medical staff, it is also producing diagnostic kits with 90 percent accuracy, as well as ventilators, which are an essential treatment.
