Americans electoral process very fraudulent: Analyst

Americans know their electoral process is very fraudulent but they do not acknowledge it, according to Myles Hoenig, an American political analyst and activist.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden swept all three primaries on Tuesday night, called Super Tuesday III, against rival Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Arizona, Illinois and Florida all held primaries Tuesday, while Ohio, which was supposed to hold a primary Tuesday, postponed it due to the coronavirus pandemic in the United States.

“Americans are used to, but won’t acknowledge, how fraudulent our electoral process is. Many will complain about the Electoral College, how it selects the president regardless of how the people vote, considering how Trump won over Clinton’s majority vote. But that’s all prescribed in the Constitution and is law. The real fraud is how we nominate candidates,” said Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress.

“First off, it is nearly impossible for an average person, not one pretending to be one like Joe Biden, to be nominated, let alone elected. It takes an enormous amount of money, more than a billion dollars, to become president. Average people neither have nor associate with those who do have that kind of money. So elections are left to those with enormous wealth behind them or somehow already reached some levels of power and literally bank on it to move ahead,” he said in an interview with Press TV on Thursday.

“But what makes 2020 so egregiously fraudulent is the manner in which the Democratic primaries are being conducted. Like 2016, the DNC and the media are doing all they can to derail the Sanders campaign, and with court approval. Whether it be closing polls in urban neighborhoods without notification, or forcing voters to stand in line for hours after closing when wealthier precincts are already closed, or the most obvious form of voter manipulation being the media’s one –sidedness for Biden and opposition to Sanders, we see the normal pattern of conduct in our elections,” he stated.

“But this year it’s taken a deeper state into illegitimacy with how the DNC is forcing states to carry out the primaries during a period of quarantine, all for the purpose of hurrying up the election to give Biden an insurmountable edge. The Biden campaign urged voting. The Sanders campaign urged restraint and accepting CDC’s recommendations. One campaign looks for political expediency while the other seeks a sane and safe approach to this election,” he noted.

“Joe Biden and Tom Perez, Chair of the DNC, ought to be brought up on criminal charges for depraved indifference over their conduct during this crisis. Encouraging people, including the elderly who are more likely to vote for their chosen candidate, to go to the polls, stand in long congested lines in gymnasiums and firehouses, is a prescription for spreading the virus and likely death for some as an outcome. But this is how American capitalism works. Get their banker candidate into the White House rather than a Democratic Socialist at all costs,” he concluded.
