The English Premier League has followed the lead of Serie A and La Liga by announcing that all upcoming fixtures will have to be rearranged as the global pandemic continues to wreak havoc.
After an emergency meeting on Friday, the English football association and the Premier League have agreed to postpone all forms of professional football in England, until at least April 3rd.
This action has been taken due to the increasing numbers of clubs taking steps to isolate their players and staff, because of the Covid-19 virus.
It was revealed on Thursday that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, along with a number of Leicester City players had contracted coronavirus.
The decision sees the Premier League follow other major football leagues around Europe, with Italy’s Serie A, Spain's La Liga, Germany's Bundesliga and France's Ligue 1 all put on hold. Leicester city Manager, Brendan Rodgers had a say on this. Let’s take a listen.
