In the world of tennis, Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland has advanced to the second round of the Mexican Open, following a hard-fought win over America's Frances Tiafoe.
Third-seeded Wawrinka seized control of the opening set with a break of serve in the sixth game, to take it 6-3, but Tiafoe fought back in the second to force a tie-break, where he delivered a 7-4 win to level the contest at 1-set each.
It was a tight affair in the third as well, as the American saved four match points towards the end of the decider to play another tie-break, but this time it was the Swiss who kept his composure to earn a 7-1 win, with his 35th ace of the night.
There were also wins for Adrian Mannarino and Kyle Edmund as they beat Cameron Norrie and Feliciano Lopez respectively.
