Putin holds talks with Merkel in Moscow
Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the Kremlin in Moscow on Saturday, January 11, ahead of bilateral talks.
During their meeting, Merkel thanked Putin for the opportunity to visit and said she looked forward to discussing issues of mutual interest including Syria, Libya and the Minsk process.
The German chancellor last visited Moscow in 2015.
