Military base in Syria abandoned following US withdrawal
A US military base in Syria was left abandoned on Monday (October 7) in the wake of a decision by President Donald Trump to withdraw troops from northeastern Syria.
Kurdistan 24 showed the empty compound of the base in Tel Arqam, close to Syria's border with Turkey in the north.
A senior Trump administration official said the decision to redeploy the troops does not constitute a US withdrawal from Syria.
