Support for Scottish independence surges

The center of the Scottish city of Edinburgh ground to a halt on Saturday as tens of thousands of pro-independence supporters converged on the nation's capital.
Organizers of the all under one banner rally claimed that around 200,000 people took part in the protest, suggesting support is surging amid growing fears of a no-deal Brexit.
Despite the contempt for Westminster, protesters made clear they were peaceful and welcoming to all.
This protest is just one of many similar marches that have taken place throughout the year, demanding a second Scottish referendum on independence. All the major cities have seen similar marches, including Glasgow, Aberdeen, and Perth.
This movement doesn't stop in Scotland. A sister branch has sprung up in Wales, while another campaign movement for Cornish independence will soon be up and running in southern England. With that said, the United Kingdom is beginning to appear far more disunited than ever before in recent history.
