The gruesome death of a dissident Saudi journalist in the Turkish city of Istanbul sent shock waves around the world last year.
The United Nations has now issued a report following a forensic investigation. The world bodys investigators say theres credible evidence that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and other senior officials were behind the death of Jamal Khashoggi.
The UNs special Rapporteur, Agnes Callamard, said Khashoggi fell victim to a deliberate, premeditated execution, an extrajudicial killing for which the state of Saudi Arabia is responsible under international human rights law.
