Political Commentator Steven Sahiounie hails the Iranian parliament’s response to a decision by the US to blacklist the country’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) after the legislative chamber –known as Majlis – overwhelmingly passed a bill, which designates the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) as terrorist organization.
The analyst further warned against the repercussions of Washington’s escalation of its pressure campaign against the Iranian nation, saying such a policy could push the region into war.
Any such war, the analyst added, would serve the interests of the occupying regime in Tel Aviv, which he described as the sole “decision maker” for the US.
