Security on high alert in Kashmir ahead of India’s general elections

Security in Indian-controlled Kashmir has been beefed up in the wake of India’s marathon general elections. All polling stations in the disputed region’s capital Srinagar were declared as hyper sensitive amid election boycott called by pro-independence groups.
