The Venezuelan people are steadfast enough to stand against the US pressures and unilateral aggression, says a commentator.

US Vice President Mike Pence said on Friday that Washington is working to increase pressure on the government of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and stoke a mutiny among Venezuelan officials to defect to an opposition figure.

In an interview with Press TV on Saturday, Cheryl Labash, writer and imperialist activist, said that the United States is “a huge economic and military aggressor,” which is trying to force the Venezuelan people and the Cuban people “to bow down before them.”

Labash emphasized that the colonial era is “over” and “people will not submit to that kind of thing.”

“The Cuban people stood and fought back and the same thing is happening now in Venezuela,” the analyst noted.
