Former UK FM Boris Johnson, 54, in love like a ‘puppy dog’

Boris Johnson, known for his many gaffes during his times as mayor of London and Britain’s foreign minister, is madly in love with a former spin doctor, despite reports suggesting he has much to do to end a 25-year-old marriage.

The Daily Mail said in a report on Sunday that Johnson, father of four, was described by friends as behaving “like a puppy dog” in his love affair with former advisor Carrie Symonds, 30.

“He wants to get engaged. He's completely in thrall to Carrie. Totally loved-up,” said the friend about Johnson who reportedly spent the Christmas holidays with his girlfriend in Greece out of fears that the media and political rivals would publicize the growing affair.

The revelations come several months after Johnson was accused of committing adultery after being spotted with Symonds, a former Conservative Party communications chief.

Johnson and his wife, Marina, swiftly issued a statement in September saying they had separated and were going to lodge divorce proceedings. However, the Central Family Court said on Friday that Johnsons had yet to launch the formal legal process for ending his marriage.

The senior Tory lawmaker has reportedly been living in Symonds’s flat in southeast London for the past several months.

Reports said the pair have been repeatedly photographed in playful poses including in one situation where Symonds was seeming to pinch the former Foreign Secretary from behind.

Johnson served as mayor of London for several years before he became the top British diplomat under Prime Minister Theresa May in 2016.

He is seen by many as a serious contender to replace May due to his fierce criticism of the premier’s strategy for leaving the European Union.
