Georginio Winaldum opened the scoring late in the first half, after a mistake by the Spurs keeper.

Firmino then got his name on the score-sheet, soon after the interval, as the Brazilian tapped-in Liverpool’s 2nd, after some more sloppy defending by the hosts.

Erik Lamela managed to get a goal back for Tottenham in stoppage-time, but it was too little too late, as Liverpool took the full 3 points, in their 5th successive Premier League victory.
