La Roja dominated the match after Saul Niguez started the scoring with an expert header off a cross from Dani Carvakhal in the 24th minute.

Ten minutes later Marco Asensio made it 2-nil with a powerful shot. Moments later, Asensio's curling shot took a deflection off the crossbar, hitting the Croatian keeper’s back and bouncing in.

Then Rodrigo headed Carvajal’s cross early in the 2nd half to make it 4-nil. But Spain weren't finished, 8 minutes later, Serjio Ramos scored the 5th from a corner kick.  And finally, a memorable result was capped by a final goal by Isco.
