Iran at 2018 Asian Games: Day 6 Highlights

In the 2018 Asian Games, Iran’s men and women kabaddi teams have both found the best way to end the tournament by adding 2 more gold medal's to Iran's tally.

Iran’s men team earned a comprehensive 26 to 16 win over South Korea in an almost one-sided match. Confident with their semi-final victory over India, the Iranian players took the upper-hand from the 1st half, and kept the momentum right to the end and pocketed another gold for Iran’s caravan.

That's while earlier, Iran’s women team defeated the powerful Indian team 27 to 24 to snatch a precious victory and win yet another gold medal for the country.

Before that, in Rowing and the Women's light-weight single sculls, Nazanin Malaaee had pocketed a silver. And in the Women's lightweight double sculls, Nazanin Rahmaani and Maryam Omidi also won silver. 

With all that, at the end of the 6th day of the Asian Games, Iran have maintained their 4th position in the standings with 2 more golds and 2 silvers, to make it an overall 31 medals. China, Japan, and South Korea have also taken the top 3 positions. 

Iran have maintained their 4th position in the 2018 Asian Games standings with 12 golds, 11 silvers and 8 bronze medals.
