BREAKING THE SIEGE OF GAZA 2. Efforts to break the siege from Gaza come as international activists try to break the siege from abroad. 3. This years Freedom Flotilla Coalition to Palestine is underway and has launched from Denmark. A group of boats made up of activists carrying humanitarian aid will make their way by sea, through Europe and the Mediterranean, to Gaza, aiming to break Israels illegal blockade. Participants intend to bring the treatment of Palestinians living in the besieged Gaza Strip to the worlds attention. 4. Home to nearly two million Palestinians, the Gaza Strip has been reeling under a crippling Israeli blockade since 2006 when Palestinian resistance group Hamas was voted to power in a parliamentary election
