The final battle for Eastern Ghouta

The Syrian army re-captures the militant-held town of Misraba in the eastern suburbs of the capital Damascus. It’s also captured a road linking the town of Douma with Harasta further west.

In this edition of The Debate, Press TV has talked to its Damascus-based correspondent, Mohamad Ali, and interviewed Ammar Waqqaf, the founder and director of Gnosos from London, and Nabil Mikhail, a professor at George Washington University, from Washington, to discuss Syrian army's latest offensive to retake Eastern Ghouta region ahead of a final push to liberate the strategic territory.
