Russia's S-400 lauded as linchpin to Crimea’s air defense

Russia's S-400 air defense system

Russia’s second division military unit has demonstrated its S-400 air defense system vehicles during a ceremony in Sevastopol after using the systems in combat amid the ongoing Crimea dispute.

Known as 'Triumph', the S-400 air defense system is stationed in the Fiolent cape and is targeted to control the border with Ukraine. Describing the stationed system "the most powerful and the most advanced air defense system in the world," the commander of the 4th Air Force and Air-defense Army, Victor Sevastyanov, told journalists that the system "allows to provide in-depth air defense over the peninsula of Crimea."
