Protests continue across Pakistan over the rape and murder of a 7-year-old girl, identified as Zainab Ansari, in the eastern town of Kasur.

Thousands held a rally in Kasur on Thursday to condemn the incident. Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, a major Islamic party in Pakistan, denounced the incident and urged people to stand up to the crime. Several protesters burnt tires and blocked streets. In the city of Multan, dozens of men and women protested and chanted "We want justice."
