Bayern Munich have advanced to the last-16 of the UEFA Champions League as Group B runners up after defeating French visitors PSG 3-1.

The Bavarians needed to win by four goals to finish above PSG. They opened the scoring with Robert Lewandowski 's close-range finish after eight minutes of play.

French international Corentin Tolisso headed in to double the lead for Bayern before half-time. But, the French side clawed their way back in the second half when Kylian Mbappe reduced the deficit before the hour mark.

Tolisso stretched Munich's lead back to two goals in the 69th minute when he tapped in Kingsley Coman's pass. Both teams finish with 15 points, but PSG's head-to-head record ensured they finished on top.
