Hezbollah says using drones against Daesh in Syria

This video grab shows munitions being dropped from a drone at suspected Daesh positions in Syria’s Qalamoun region near the border with Lebanon on August 21, 2017.

The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah says it has used drones to strike positions of the Takfiri Daesh terrorists in Syria close to the border with Lebanon. Hezbollah deployed the drones to hit bunkers and fortifications in western Qalamoun area, near the Lebanese border.

The Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters are pressing ahead with their operation against the terrorists inside Syria. On Saturday, Lebanon's army began a separate operation to dislodge the Takfiri terrorist group from an enclave in the mountainous region near the border with Syria.

The army said it found anti-aircraft missiles among a cache of weapons in an area abandoned by Daesh. The Hezbollah fighters have already cleared the region of other terrorist groups, including the Nusra Front.
