Jason Unruhe, a political analyst, believes there is no prosecution for police officers in the United States involved in the fatal shooting of black people because one of their functions is to repress minority groups, which have a “disenfranchised position” within the American society.
“They [police] are supposed to suppress the population, so it goes counter to their interest to just simply prosecute their own soldiers,” Unruhe told Press TV.
“It is going to take a collective effort by the American people in general in order to suppress this kind of violence that is being used against them,” he further noted.
