Muslim scholars call for teaching Quran to counter extremism

Muslim scholars in Tunis have called for teaching Quran to 100.000 primary and secondary school students.

The Tunisian religious affairs ministry has signed an agreement with the education ministry to carry out a program designed to teach the holy Quran to 100.000 primary and secondary school students. Muslim scholars say the project will help the government's war against Daesh-affiliated Takfiri cells. Adnen Chaouachi reports from Tunis.
