World fastest man sets 254.9 record km/h at Alps ski resort

Italian Ivan Oregon sets new skiing speed record.

An Italian skier has managed to break the world’s record for the fastest ski run.

Ivan Oregon set the speed skiing record, reaching 254 point 958 kilometers per hour, at the French Alps resort of Vars.

Last month, Ivan’s brother, Simone Origone, set a new world record of 252 point four kilometers an hour on the slopes of Chabrieres in the French Alps.

Ivan is named the fastest man on earth. The 27-year-old Italian is one of the world's top speed skiers, setting a junior world record of 250 kilometers an hour in 2006.
