US presidential candidates took their battle for their respective party nomination to the powerful pro-Israel lobbying group in America, AIPAC. All candidates took the podium at AIPAC except for Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders, who skipped the event for a rally in Seattle ahead of his face-off with Clinton in the state of Idaho.

Kerry's visit to Russia

US Secretary of State John Kerry’s visit to Russia comes as the two countries have reached common ground on Syria, which has been a sticking point between them since the conflict began in the Arab countries some five years ago. Prior to Kerry's visit, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Moscow hopes the visit will contribute to normalizing bilateral relations between the two sides.

Shocking revelation against UN

A former UN official has come out and accused the world body of mismanagement. Anthony Banbury, a former UN assistant secretary general, has warned in an opinion column in the New York Times that the organization has failed to uphold its own principles. Banbury had decades of experience in senior positions and lately headed the UN mission on Ebola. He also oversaw the establishment of the UN mission to eliminate Syria’s chemical weapons program.
