Syria: A fragile ceasefire agreement

A ceasefire has been worked out between Russia and the US, with Secretary of State John Kerry saying the ceasefire could begin in the coming days. The top US diplomat, meanwhile, has acknowledged that he does not see immediate change on the ground. Meanwhile, Turkey has said that a ground operation by Saudi Arabia and Turkey in Syria is not on the agenda, reversing earlier claims of a possible incursion.

US pushing for regime change in S Africa

According to a spokesman for South Africa's Ruling Party, the US is pursuing regime change in the country. The Ruling Party’s secretary general wants Washington to clarify the activities of its diplomats after accusing the US of deploying agents to destabilize the nation.

Cameron facing stiff resistance for staying in EU

British Prime Minister David Cameron has made his case for the UK to stay in the EU. Cameron's critics say the deal doesn't go far enough, like popular London Mayor Boris Johnson, who has announced he would back an out vote.
