Heart age could be affected by working conditions

Have you ever wondered how old your heart could be? Check out the results of a new test and see if you are really young at heart.

New studies show that in general, the heart is at least three years older than people’s actual age, depending on their profession. Those in sedentary jobs such as teachers and health professionals are among the healthiest while those in manual labor score the worst. Lifestyle factors including smoking and obesity could push up the heart age to up to 8 years more than it should be. Employers could also make a huge difference by providing better working conditions.
