Saudi warplanes kill 8 in Yemen

Yemen

More people lose their lives in Yemen as Saudi Arabia continues carrying out air strikes across the impoverished nation in defiance of calls for ending the deadly offensive.

At least 5 Yemenis were killed and nearly 10 others were injured in the latest air raids on the northern province of Sa’ada. Three others were also killed in earlier attacks in the province. Elsewhere, Saudi fighter jets also carried out over a dozen strikes on the central province of Ma’rib. In retaliation, Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters and allied army units fired rockets at a Saudi military base in Jizan. Earlier, Yemeni forces launched a Scud missile into the same region. More than five-thousand people have so far been killed since Riyadh unleashed its war on Yemen five months ago.
