Militant rocket attacks kill 3 in Syria’s Aleppo
At least three civilians have been killed in rocket attacks by foreign-backed Takfiri militants on areas in Syria’s northern province of Aleppo.
Local sources said over 30 civilians were also injured in the attacks on the neighborhoods of Aazamiyeh, Khaldiyeh and Saif al-Dawleh on Saturday, Syria’s official news agency SANA reported.
The rockets were fired by Takfiri terrorists positioned in the neighborhood of Salah-Eddin, the sources said, adding that the attacks left massive material damage to a number of houses and cars.
In Saif al-Dawleh, parts of the building of a school that had turned into a makeshift center for displaced people were destroyed in the attacks.
On the same day, militants shelled two villages of Fouaa and Kefraya in the northwestern province of Idlib. A child and her mother were killed and a dozen other people were injured. Takfiri terrorists in the nearby villages of Taaoum and Deir al-Zaghab were reportedly behind the shelling.
The Syrian army, backed by fighters of the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, has been engaged in joint operations against militants to flush them out of Idlib, among other areas.
Syrian cities and towns have been witnessing bomb attacks as well as mortar and rocket fire by Takfiri terrorists since a deadly conflict broke out in the Middle Eastern country more than four years ago.
The crisis has reportedly claimed the lives of more than 240,000 up until now.
The ongoing violence has also forced over 3.8 million Syrians to take refuge in neighboring countries, including Jordan and Lebanon. The United Nations says more than 7.2 million others have been internally displaced.
