Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has defended the outcome of nuclear negotiations with the P-five-plus-one group of countries.
Zarif made the comments upon arrival in the Iranian capital Tehran. He described the conclusion of talks on the country’s nuclear program as a great achievement for the Iranian nation. Zarif said the U-N Security Council will recognize Iran’s right to enrich uranium next week. The top Iranian diplomat noted that the Vienna talks proved the power of diplomacy and negotiations. He said the Iranian negotiators managed to stop an unnecessary crisis based on steadfastness and political will. Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Ali Akbar Salehi, also hailed the conclusion of nuclear negotiations with the P-five-plus-one group.
