In response to deadly attacks by Saudi forces, the Yemeni army, backed by popular committees, has carried out rocket attacks on military and government bases and buildings on the Saudi soil.
Local media reports quoted Yemeni military sources as saying that a Saudi customs office in the al-Tuwal village in the Jizan region of southwestern Saudi Arabia was targeted by the rockets.
The headquarters of the Saudi border guard in Dhahran al-Janub was also attacked in the retaliatory rocket strikes, causing an adjacent arms depot to catch fire.
The military base in the town of Dhahran, which was used for numerous raids against the Yemeni nation, was also targeted in the rocket attacks.
Yemeni army soldiers backed by the popular committees also attacked a vehicle used by the Saudi border guards. Casualties on the Saudi side were reported.
Dozens of Saudi forces have been killed since the Yemenis started retaliatory rocket, missile and mortar attacks on the Saudi soil in early May. So far, several tanks and armored vehicles belonging to the Saudi army have been destroyed in the attacks.
The Saudi military continues its fierce aggression against the Yemeni people, which started on March 26.
Nearly 2,000 Yemenis have been killed and over 7,000 others wounded in the conflict in Yemen, according to the United Nations.
