Dozens of Palestinians including families and relatives of prisoners incarcerated in Israeli jails have staged a protest outside the building of the international committee of the Red Cross in occupied Ramallah, they have called on Israel for releasing 30 Palestinian who have been imprisoned by Israel for decades.
The prisoners' issue is part of the important topics that needs to be death with on the way of achieving freedom. Palestinians today are demanding the Palestinian authority to take the vital issue to the international criminal court, in order to expose the occupation’s crimes against the prisoners, who are being mistreated and tortured behind the bars.
During this activity, the demonstrators are also demanding for the release of 85 inmates who were taken back into Israeli custody after their release in the 2011 prisoner exchange deal between Hamas resistance movement and Israel.
The suffering among Palestinian prisoners’ families goes on as thousands of Palestinians are still languishing in the darkness of Israeli jails. However the families have long vowed to keep the inmates’ cause alive until all of them, including the veteran detainees, are released from Israeli prisons.
