Press TV has conducted an interview with Omali Yeshitela, the chairman of the African People’s Socialist Party from Florida, to discuss a fatal police shooting of an unarmed black man in South Carolina.

Yeshitela believes such incidents happen continuously because of African people’s relationship with the US government, which is a colonial one, adding that police in the United States act as an occupying force in the black communities.

He also argues it is up to the African people to overturn such relationship that is based on oppression and it is going to take revolution to do so.
