Ukrainian Govt. Sued over ‘Violating Constitutional Law’
Ukrainian ex-lawmakers and human rights activists are suing the parliament, prime minister, and president. The plaintiffs say these state pillars are not fulfilling their constitutional obligations. Namely, they did not appoint heads of the state's top bodies in charge of anti-monopoly regulations, privatization and executing proceedings against judges in Ukraine.

These bodies cannot function properly without leaders. This casts doubts on the legal status of all their rulings. The activists brought in 5 proceedings to the court. Lawmakers say it is an unprecedented and creative way of civil pressure on the authorities.
