Karim al-Nuri, a leader of the Iraqi volunteer forces says liberation of remaining areas of the city of Tikrit will be over within the next four days, at most.
Nouri says the an all-out siege imposed by the security and volunteer forces on the city of Tikrit has paid off leaving the ISIL terrorists psychologically paralyzed.
In recaptured areas of Tikrt, Iraqi troops supported by volunteer forces are working on dismantling improvised mines and booby-trapped houses. A time-consuming work as there are six thousand explosive devices planted by the ISIL terrorists.
Iraq’s Defense Minister Khaled al-Obaidi has also said that the equation in the Tikrit assault will change in the coming days.
According to media information, ISIL terrorists have withdrawn from the city of Mosul but armed women are still spread on the city streets and it’s believed that most of these armed women are from foreign countries.
Iraqi forces are keen to preserve civilian lives therefore they are planning to attack the city while taking precautions as ISIL is known for using civilians as human shields.
