Thousands of people have taken to Downdetector to report issues with the social media platform.

Thousands of social media users are facing significant difficulties accessing X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Reports indicate that thousands of users in several countries have experienced issues, with over 50% of complaints focused on the mobile app.

According to Downdetector, 20% of users encountering problems are struggling to access their main feed, while 16% reported difficulties with the website itself. The issues began around 1:05 PM UTC on Monday.

Comments from affected users on Downdetector reflect widespread dissatisfaction.

One user lamented, "birdapp is held together with duct tape and sticks; if it weren't for the fact that so many anime artists are still here, I would've jumped the boat by now."

Another remarked on delayed notifications and replies, stating, "No notifications showing on web. Delayed replies and follows for the last 72 hours."

The outage appears to be affecting users globally, with reports emerging from countries including the UK, Canada, Australia, France, and Germany.

As of now, the reason behind the widespread access issues remains unclear.

X, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, does not maintain a health status page, complicating efforts to diagnose the cause of the outage.
