Chairman of Yemen's Supreme Political Council has paid homage to the late secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, stating that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah liberated Lebanon from the grip of Israeli occupation and shattered the Tel Aviv regime’s invincibility myth.
“The leader of the Lebanese resistance movement was a father figure to all freedom-loving peoples of the world, and represented a master and a brother to all benevolent individuals of our time. He was adorable, compassionate, generous and humble to all people, and pursued the righteous path until the day of his martyrdom,” Mahdi al-Mashat wrote in an article dedicated to Nasrallah.
He added that martyr Nasrallah achieved everything he wanted in his life, defeated the Israeli enemy, shattered the Israeli army’s invincibility myth, supported the oppressed and restored justice.
The head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council went on to describe the late Hezbollah chief as truly a martyr of the entire Muslim world and humanity.
“He is a martyr who treaded the path to al-Quds and Palestine. He is a martyr of Lebanon and Yemen; a martyr of truth and justice and all noble values of the world,” Mashat noted.
The senior Yemeni official emphasized that Nasrallah devoted his whole life to the defense of Islamic values and foundations.
“The oppressed, from Lebanon to Palestine, from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Afghanistan, from Syria to Iraq and anywhere in the world, have not found a supporter like him for decades,” Mashat stated.
He hailed Nasrallah as an exemplary figure in terms of sacrifice, stressing that no one upheld the centrality of the Palestinian issue like him.
“His testimony in support of Gaza is the most eloquent expression of how a person supports his folks,” Mashat stated.
