As Americans vote to elect their next president with Republican candidate Donald Trump already declaring victory against his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, netizens say both are “war criminals.”
Harris, who served as vice president in the Joe Biden administration, has been slammed for backing the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza and failing to halt the American arms supplies to the Tel Aviv regime.
Biden administration significantly raised the annual military funding to the Israeli regime, disregarding massive protests across the US that called for a ceasefire in the besieged Palestinian territory.
Washington also vetoed multiple resolutions in the United Nations that called on the Benjamin Netanyahu regime to halt its genocidal onslaught on Gaza and agree to a ceasefire deal.
On the other hand, Trump, who occupied the White House between 2017 and 2021 before he was denied his second consecutive term by Biden, is infamous for his pro-war policies and close ties with the Israeli regime, especially Benjamin Netanyahu.
He infamously ordered the assassination of top Iranian anti-terror commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani in a drone strike outside the Baghdad airport in January 2020.

While Trump declared his victory, calling it the “greatest political movement of all time’, netizens took to social media network X, formerly Twitter, to remind the world that both candidates represent evil.
They also emphasized that Harris was booted out mainly for her support and complicity in the ongoing genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza, which has already claimed nearly 43,500 lives.
Hossam Shabat, a Gaza-based journalist, in a tweet, said it doesn’t matter which of the two US presidential candidates – Trump and Harris – wins as both are “war criminals.”
“While people are watching the US elections, we in North Gaza can hear heavy shelling and US-sponsored bombs being dropped on us,” he wrote, referring to ongoing Israeli raids in northern Gaza.
“Remember, whoever wins, they are all war criminals.”

Ali Abunimah, the editor of the Electronic Intifada website, said the lackluster performance of Harris was primarily due to her administration’s direct participation in the genocide of Palestinians.
“US regime media will not acknowledge what we all know: @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris’s insistence on perpetrating genocide of the Palestinian people sank them,” he wrote.
“This is a rare and historic moment of accountability. Genocide can never be rewarded or excused. It had to be punished.”

Max Blumenthal, an American journalist and editor of the Grayzone website, shared a screenshot of a tweet by Palestinian poet and scholar Refaat al-Areer who was killed in Gaza in December last year.
“I wish I could tell Refaat we did it, but I can’t because Holocaust Harris and Genocide Joe would not stop arming his killers. But we did it for him anyway,” Blumenthal wrote.

Days before Areer was killed in December last year, he shared several tweets holding the Democratic Party and the Biden administration responsible for the genocide in Gaza.
In one of the tweets, he said Biden and the Democrats “must be punished” for “enabling and arming Israel to commit its genocide in Gaza.”
In another tweet, responding to Harris’ remarks that the Israeli regime had a “right to defend itself”, Areer said the Democratic Party and the Biden administration were “responsible for the Gaza genocide.”

In a tweet on Wednesday, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the leading Zionist lobby group in the United States, boasted that so far 190 AIPAC-linked candidates have won their elections for the US Senate.
“We are proud to stand with pro-Israel Democrats and Republicans to strengthen bipartisan support for the U.S.-Israel relationship. Being pro-Israel is good policy and good politics,” it stated.
In response, journalist Sopo Japaridze quipped that the Israeli regime “always wins the US elections,” echoing a sentiment that many social media users have expressed in recent days.

A social media user ‘Empire of Lies’ seconded that thought, saying it’s always the Wall Street, Pentagon and the Israeli regime that win the elections in the United States.
“Who will win the election? The same people who always win US elections - Wall Street, the Pentagon, and Israel,” the user wrote.

A social media user said he wasn’t as much worried about the results of the US election as about the actions of the Israeli regime with the whole world consumed by the euphoria of the Trump versus Harris fight.
“I’m not worried about the results of the US election. I’m far more worried about what Israel might do while Western media is consumed by election coverage, like in 2008 when they broke the ceasefire on the eve of Pres. Obama winning,” the user wrote.

Another social media user had a detailed take on how there was little to choose between the two candidates in the fray as both of them are deeply wedded to Zionism.
“There is, of course, the obvious moral point that a candidate currently enabling genocide shouldn’t be re-elected—but the consequences of that choice fall on the people & nation who elect them, not on us. & we, the victims, know this very well. & yet the flood of opinions is exhausting,” the user wrote.
“The reality is, no matter the analysis, the outcome remains the same—solid US support for “Israel’s” existence, which inherently means the erasure of ours.”
Your fixation on US elections feels like a relentless, performative ritual of debate that systematically avoids confronting the real issue: the US’s solid & unchanged (& unchangeable) institutional, core support for “Israel.” So much of your energy lately has been spent on…
