The foreign ministers of Iraq, Jordan and Egypt say Israel’s military campaign against Lebanon and its genocide in the besieged Gaza Strip are pushing the whole region to the brink of an all-out war.

After a meeting on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the three ministers issued a joint statement, demanding an immediate halt to the regime’s barbarism.

“Israel is pushing the entire region into an all-out war,” they said.

The international community and the UN Security Council need “to bear their responsibilities to stop the war,” the joint statement said.

They said stopping the “dangerous escalation under way in the region... begins by halting Israel’s aggression in Gaza.”

World leaders keep calling for de-escalation after devastating Israeli air strikes in Lebanon ratcheted regional tensions amid the regime’s genocidal war in Gaza. The regime's deadly airstrikes, which started on Monday and continued into Tuesday, were Israel's fiercest attacks against Lebanon in years.

“The Israeli military killed hundreds of people in Lebanon in just one day," said Lama Fakih, West Asia and North Africa director of Human Rights Watch.

Lebanon's Health Ministry said at least 50 children were among those killed in the regime's airstrikes on the country.
