The march, despite police attempts to delay it, was seen as a success, symbolizing public sympathy for Palestinians and a demand for the UK government to address its complicity in the Israeli regime's genocidal actions.

It may have been 11 months, but the Palestine Solidarity demonstrators continue to throng the streets of central London the horrifying images from Israel's genocidal war on Palestinians seared on their minds.

The protesters condemned Israel's actions as genocidal, citing the lack of basic necessities like education, healthcare, food, and water, due to the ravages of war.

Its genocide in Palestine; there's people, babies, doctors, nurses, lawyers, there's no schooling, there's no hospitals, there's no food, there's no water, there's nothing.

Anger and fury is right at its limit, and there is literally nothing we can do other than march and protest as loudly as we can.

Perhaps in a sign of the government hearing the voices of these protesters, this month it suspended some of the UK's arms export licenses to Israel, to the demonstrators, however, that's nowhere near enough.

We need Israel to be seen for what it is; a pariah state that's acting completely outside international law and it should not be armed by any other country. It shouldn't, and if it wasn't, it wouldn't be able to do what it's doing.

Ahead of the march, which terminated near the Israeli embassy, an attempt by police to delay it by two hours, under pressure, they backed down at the last minute.

It’s a success that we were able to go according to plan, but it's also a shame that the police, yet again, unsurprisingly, are trying to to curtail our rights and our freedoms because we tried to use them to achieve freedom and rights for other people.

Today's was the first national demonstration since the recent racially motivated far right insurgency in the UK and a concerted call for the government to take Islamophobia seriously.

The demonstration is yet another display of deep sympathy for Palestinians among the British public, the majority of whom have been asking for an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza and also an end to what they believe is their government's complicity in the Israeli regime's genocidal campaign against Palestinians.
