Serena Shim captured media attention globally with her reports revealing the transfer of Takfiri Daesh terrorists from Turkey to Syria under the cover of the World Food Programme and other NGOs. Shim received death threats from anonymous sources in connection with her reporting. But undeterred, she carried on doing her job. Shim was killed in a suspicious car accident on October 19, 2014.
