Iran and the US held the second round of indirect talks in Geneva on Tuesday, with both sides noting progress on guiding principles while tensions persist amid continued US military posturing.

Iran engages the US in nuclear talks to lift sanctions, balancing economic survival, strategic deterrence, and regional security, while resisting external pressure, threats, and attempts to undermine its sovereignty and autonomy.

President Masoud Pezeshkian says Iran’s logic in the nuclear issue is the rights enshrined in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Iran will target American military bases in region in the event of a new US military aggression.

Iran will hold indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States on February 6 in Oman’s capital, Muscat, Iranian media reported on Wednesday.

Iran has rejected US claims of willingness to negotiate, calling them “simply disingenuous and preposterous” following unprovoked attacks on the country’s nuclear facilities in June amid ongoing diplomatic talks.
