Global inequality approaches shocking levels
Billionaires, global leaders and celebrities are converging on Davos in Switzerland for the annual World Economic Forum this week. This, as a UK-based charity has delivered a scathing assessment of the rise in global inequality. According Oxfam’s report, if the current economic trend continues, one percent of the world’s population will own more wealth than the rest of the other 99 percent by 20-16.
