British legislator Ellie Chowns hails jailed Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti as a ‘powerful unifying voice’ for Palestinians, demanding his release.

The Prisoners’ Media Office says Barghouti was beaten while being transferred to another Israeli prison across the occupied territories.
