President Rouhani says nuclear agreement ushers in new era for Iran's economy
Iran’s president says the conclusion of nuclear talks ushers in a new era for the country’s economy after years of foreign sanctions and bullying. Hassan Rouhani says the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action will "unshackle" Iran’s economy, and will let the Iranian nation take full control of its natural resources and trade. He stressed that post-sanction Iran will sell its oil at the time and place of its choosing. Rouhani also praised the resistance and patience of the Iranian people over the years of sanctions and bullying of world powers. The president criticized what he called a group of hardliners in the US for their opposition to the Iran nuclear agreement. Rouhani said the international community believes that the JCPOA will pave the way for world peace and security.
