Footage shows hotel used by former Yemeni officials under rocket attack
A hotel used by officials of the former Yemeni government has come under a rocket attack in the southern port city of Aden. Khaled Bahah, who was prime minister in the cabinet of fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi was at the Qasr Hotel when the attack took place. Some reports say at least 20 Emirati soldiers were killed in the attack which hit the entrance of the hotel. But it’s unclear if the shelling left any casualties among the former Yemeni officials. Hadi’s cabinet members resided in Aden after returning to Yemen on September 16. They fled to Saudi Arabia in March in the face of advancing Ansarullah fighters and their allied army units who took control of the capital Sana’a and much of Yemen.

Militants fire hundreds of rockets into Shia villages in Syria
Al-Qaeda-linked militants have fired hundreds of rockets and mortar shells into two besieged Shia villages in northwestern Syria. The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says at least seven people were killed and hundreds more wounded in the shelling of Fuaa and Kafraya village in Idlib province. The villages are currently under the control of the Syrian government. It isn't clear if the victims were civilians or government forces. Militant groups including al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra Front are battling for government-held regions in Idlib. Syria blames Turkey, the United States and its allies for years of unrest across the country.
