A former taekwondo world champion has hailed the performance of Iran’s taekwondo athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympics, attributing it to “'consensus and unity” in the team.

In the first week of the Paris Olympics, Iranian athletes fell short of making it to the podium. Now all eyes are on Iran’s wrestlers, weightlifters and martial artists.

It has been a golden run for Iranian sports this week, with volleyball, basketball, wrestling teams and individuals athletes in different disciplines grabbing medals and bringing laurels to their country.
